On Good Friday in 2000, I was baptised in the lovely Swan River in Perth. It was quite a remarkable witness in retrospect, since all around, we were surrounded by people having barbeques and having fun on what might have just been another generic holiday to them.

In Linz, I attended the Volksmission in Traun and the Methodist church in Linz, both of which only have services in German.

In Berlin, I attended the United Methodist Church in Charlottenburg, which has an English language service.

In Australia, I have worshipped with the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Banyule (Melbourne) and Perth.

I'm a fan of the following Christian artists:

• Geoff Bullock, who also wrote a great article called "Beyond Self-Centred Worship"
• Nichole Nordeman
• Casting Crowns
• Matt Redman
• James Van Cuylenburg, a Melbourne artist who's also a member of The Tealeaves.
  Two of my favourite tracks from his solo album "Starting Over" are not available on his websites:
